An Inflatable Snowman Won’t Melt

Imagine if you will, you live in a climate that doesn’t get snow. Now imagine asking your significant other if you can get a snowman for Christmas. I can already hear it. “You want to get what?” They might think you’re pretty looney until you tell them, no it’s an inflatable snowman, this one won’t melt! Don’t worry though, these things even fit well in those more wintry climates that do get snow. And in fact, they are actually easier to setup than a real snowman just probably not as much fun building.

Not only that, this classic holiday figure is an excellent way to keep that Christmas magic and the attention and amazement of your children as well. We’ve put together quite a list of 12 of the most adorable inflatable snowmen to get you into that great holiday spirit.

The Inflatable Snowman is an airblown snowman that can put you and your front yard in that Christmas spirit in a hurry. Not only that, you’ll get LOTS of attention from all your neighbors and passer-by’s as a snowman always seems to draw a crowd. I don’t know if it’s just how cute they look or if it’s something in their peaceful solitude, whatever it is, people tend to flock to them. Don’t be surprised if you suddenly have cars stopping in front of your home to take it all in and get a better look at the jolly fellow.

Setting them up is actually pretty easy. This goes for most of the single stand-alone models. Typically there are four points on the base that need to have metal spikes driven through them and into the ground to hold it in place. One tip I can give you here, especially if you live in a place where the ground tends to freeze quickly is set them up early or just before the freeze. Maybe if you get a slight shower you could take that as an opportunity since the ground will be a lot moister and softer making it easier to drive in the stakes.

Once you’ve got the snowman staked out, just plug it in and enjoy the excitement as it begins to inflate. These things typically don’t take very long to inflate so you’ll be enjoying them in no time. After it’s fully inflated, most come with tethers on the sides that you’ll need to stake out into the ground as well. These help keep the snowman upright and grounded right where you want him to be.

If you have a problem while trying to inflate him because the pumps not running, you still have something that you’ll need to do. If your air pump won’t turn on, check the fuse. No, not the one in the house but the one on the plug for your snowman. Most come with a plug that holds fuses to protect your investment, simply change it out with one of the spares that should come in the packaging. Find the slot on the plug that looks like it just slides open, push it open and replace the tiny fuse inside. Slide the panel back shut and plug the unit back in. Presto Chango, you’ve now got a snowman that’s inflating again. It’s a really good idea to keep these on hand in case something like this happens again, shouldn’t, but just in case.

They’re tough, and can stand up to either snow and ice or much warmer winter condition. And best of all, they’re just simply fun and good to look at. So if you’re looking at getting inflatable Christmas decorations this year, you just can’t go wrong with a snowman!
